Popcorn's Impact on the Mission

Last year our Quivira Council Scouts sold over $1,042.830.00 with $761,265.90 of it going back to local scouting, helping Scouts fund their next great adventure! Some of these adventures were council day camps, summer camps, high adventure camps, and even some eagle scout projects. Funds from the 2016 popcorn sale also help fund the council for improving the summer camps, facilities/buildings new camp locations, training of volunteers and members and support of the rangers.

Everyone benefits from Popcorn!

The most successful units have a planned program with specific goals, on where they want to go and how they are going to get there. Setting a goal for how much your unit needs to sell and how much your scout needs to sell, is how your unit will have the funds needed to support your program.

Popcorn is a proven fundraiser for Scouting

Trails End has partnered with Scouting for over 30 years and Scouting as a whole has greatly benefited. There is no inventory or up front Expenses for your unit. All prizes are paid for by Quivira Council ant no expense to your unit. Your unit keeps the commission form the money you collect, so no waiting for a check.

Popcorn is fun and exciting for your Scouts to sell!!

The public loves Scouting, and look forward to buying popcorn. 2 out of 3 customers will buy if asked by a Scout.  Remember we are not selling popcorn, we are helping our Scouts Fund Adventures! Scouts in cash units that sell and average of $312 will earn around $93 for your unit. Prize units will earn $84 plus prizes at no cost to your unit.

Scouts can earn much more than prizes

There are very few activities in scouting that demonstrate the benefits of planning, organization, teamwork and goal setting. Participating in the popcorn sale teaches scouts all of these skills, plus marketing, salesmanship, public speaking, and learning how to pay there way! These important skills will serve these young men throughout their lifetimes.
