Work on the Complete Angler Award while patrol camping at beautiful Quivira Scout Ranch.  We have the best fishing lake in Kansas and YOU have the chance to sharpen your skills! 

Advancement opportunities: Fishing (refresher,) Fly Fishing, Fish and Wildlife Management.

Traditional Camps 2021

Perfect for your first and second year patrols!  They will gain many advancement skills while starting off right with a blend of merit badges and adventures.  Patrol based camping and guided by Trained Camp Counselors, these Scouts will be well on their way up the Scouting trail.

Included merit badges are Safety, Swimming, Rifle, Archery, Fire Safety, Nature and Leatherwork.

Designed for advancing Scouts and their patrols, Eagle Adventure will help them get a head start on future success while experiencing the rugged beauty of Quivira Scout Ranch.  

Advancement choices included: Citizenship in the Community, Citizenship in the Nation, Cooking (elements of,) Emergency Preparedness, First Aid, Lifesaving, Environmental Science, Hiking (elements of,) Canoeing, Rifle, Shotgun, Archery, Climbing, Biking and a service project!

Trusted Troop Program – if your unit is selected and hosts Maverick Scouts, the hosting unit receives 1 free leader slot!

Recruit-a-Unit – Camping is more fun with friends!  If you recruit a new unit to Quivira Scout Ranch, you receive 1 free leader slot for the first 10 youth the new unit brings to camp.  11 or more youth = 2 leader slots! 

Come Home to QSR!  Has it been ages since you were at Quivira Scout Ranch for your resident camp? Boy,  have you been missing it and we want you home!  1 free leader slot for your unit (in council only) if you haven’t been with for five years or more! Come HOME!

Out of Council Units – Quivira Council doesn’t charge extra fees for out of council guests.  If you are a new out of council unit, you can receive 1 free leader slot for every 10 youth!  Come join the family!

Approval must take place before we can place you on the teaching roster! Please let us know before you register so that record keeping can stay in place!

Any adult who is remaining overnight with youth must be a registered member of BSA and have completed the Youth Protection Training, regardless of the length of the camp. This is for the safety and well-being of all guests and staff members.
