We have partnered with the Kansas KEEP program as a preferred vendor. Summer Camp grants are available through KEEP (Kansas Education Enrichment Program)!

The Kansas Education Enrichment Program is available to students who are between the ages of 5 (as of August 31, 2022) and 18 years old (as of May 31, 2023). Kansas Education Enrichment Program awards are also available for students with disabilities through the age of 21 and students above the age of 18 years of age who are still in high school, with proof of active school enrollment in a K-12 program.
The Kansas Education Enrichment Program (KEEP) provides qualifying parents and guardians with a $1,000 award per student to pay for educational goods and services.
Your families that are currently not able to afford Quivira Council Summer Camp, can apply for the program, and if accepted, enroll for QC summer camp for free.
- Please share these links with your families so they may apply to benefit from the grant.
- After they apply and are accepted for the grant, they will send us their information here to “save” a spot for their youth at summer camp.
- The Council team will send a simple invoice to the family. They will use the invoice to submit a claim in the KEEP Marketplace. (Page 17 in the Parent/Guardian Handbook)
- When KEEP confirms with Quivira Council that they have received this invoice, and funds are available, we will contact the family and make final arrangements to attend summer camp. (MB classes, etc.)

If a family has already paid for summer camp – they can still apply to be a KEEP Beneficiary, and submit their registration receipt for reimbursement!
The awards will be issued to those who qualify based on applicants whose income is 185% or less of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Please see the chart(s) below to help determine eligibility:

Third year Rock carriers will get a special white Eagle Claw for their Coup Thong that will ONLY be available during Summer Camp 2023. Previous Rock Carriers will also be given a once in a lifetime opportunity to earn a special smaller white Eagle Claw for their Coup Thong by carrying a rock again next year only. There will also be a special bead for everyone attending Summer Camp this year.
