We know many of you are very excited about Family Troops. Here is what we know so far.
- To be clear, no Charter Partner will be forced or expected to charter a Family Troop.
- Quivira Council will have the Family Troop option available for Charter Partners when it is official as an option through the Scouting BSA National Office. The current expectation is Dec. 15th, 2025.
- We have a few documents available below to answer early questions and guide Troops considering this option.
- Please stand by for more information. As we have supporting materials from National, they will be made available on the page above.
- In the meantime, if your Troop is considering this option, your first step is a conversation with your Charter Partner to gauge their stance on this subject and see if they are open to accepting this option as an organization. We recommend having these meetings before taking any further actions.
