KanCare Discount for Joining Scouts

The following KanCare Health Providers are excited to support Programs for Youth! Eligible members age 5 to 18 can get up to $50 credit per year with Sunflower and United Health Care and $75 per year with Healthy Blue for Scouts BSA registration.

ONLINE (KanCare Discount Code only applicable with Sunflower and United Health Care):
Healthy Blue participants please follow the steps below to receive the participants gift card:
  • Members access this value-added benefit through their online member portal or the Sydney app under the Extra Benefits Hub.
  • Renewal: These Visa Gift Cards will be sent directly to the parents. Units will need to communicate with Healthy Blue parents regarding how they wish the youth to renew. At this time, in this very new process, Visa gift cards will need to be processed through Council either by phone or in person.
  • Summer Camp: The registration contact is responsible for communicating with the Healthy Blue parents on coordinating payment. This means either the parent relinquishes the Visa Gift Card to the Registration contact, or the parent reaches out to the Council Office to use the Visa gift card for payment.

IMPORTANT!!! Parents are responsible for reaching out to their insurance provider BEFORE completing registration to receive their gift card that will be applied at time of payment.
